Is there a way of doing it similarly on Mac though?ĭoes anyone know of any windows software that can be used to control the D80 from a command line or C++ programming interface? If you can do that with Windows camera and scanner wizard then I guess I don't need CCPro 2. That's what appeals to me about it - the storage possibilities. The best part is that you can take as many pictures as your computer's storage capacity allows. If only I could see what I was shooting (the scene) in CC pro 2, I would have bought the software right away. My camera was set to manual when I connected it, the exposure mode is greyed out, so I guess you can't change that in CC pro 2. Thanks Luke! I just tried it and it works great wow it even lets you set the white balance and change menu settings. software/CameraControlPro/20/mac/CCPRO20NSAE. software/CameraControlPro/20/win/CCPRO20NSAE. The link for direct download is as follows: can all be done without touching the camera.ĬC Pro 2 is a cool app, but I'd have a proper think if I were you on whether the benefit is bigger than the cost of the software. Dial in some EV comp, change the WB, bracket etc. The (huge) advantage of CC Pro is in the ability to change settings on the camera from the PC. If you run Capture NX - you can set your download folder as a "watched" folder and have NX do some basic processing on the fly too. If that's all you need to be able to do then you're already set up to do it. With the camera connected to a PC use the camera and scanner wizzard to connect to the camera and you can fire remotely and view the image on the PC as it is taken. It works fine, but you maybe don't need it. I'm curious to know if anyone here has used it at all with their D80 or other camera. For those who don't know, Camera Control Pro 2 is Nikon's software for controlling most camera features from a PC or Mac via a USB or network connection.
